She is a fan of ink art and has got almost half a dozen tattoos, including a picture of a woman inked on her right elbow and a red rose with green leaves, tattooed on the back of her left calf.

She went to the same musical school as Caroline Hjelt. However, they didn’t decide to form a music group until they met at a party in February 2009. They had written a couple of singles within 4 months of the formation of the music act.

Before the formation of Icona Pop, she was a member of the Blues music band. She was also a member of a punk-rock electro band.

Aino considers herself a feminist.

On September 23, 2013, Icona Pop released its 2nd studio album titled This Is… Icona Pop and the album peaked at number #3 on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums (Billboard) chart, at number #36 on the US Billboard 200 chart, and at number #86 on the UK Albums (OCC) chart. Also, it consists of songs such as Ready for the Weekend, We Got the World, Hold On, Just Another Night, I Love It (ft. Charli XCX), In the Stars, All Night, and Then We Kiss.
